Lost and Found at the Autozone park!

Being a mother to a hyper active kid for 3 years , I should've known better to either carry the son in one of those leashes or to stick labels with our details all over his shirt, when outside among million people.

On one Saturday evening , we were at the AutoZone park more for food , fun and fireworks than for the baseball game. The stadium was packed to say the least and there were about a million kids with half of them wearing the same colored outfits.

I had my eyes firm on my energy ball aka Aarush and traced him down and /or followed him to wherever he wanted to go. My energy levels like any iron-deficient woman required a refill and I rested for not more than 5 minutes thinking he was well under my radar.
I turn my head to talk to a friend for a split second and the boy disappears. I went to the play area where he was playing and couldn't find him, I searched around still no sight of him. The panic mode began then and I asked my friends for help and nobody could find him. All those vicious criminal stories about kids being kidnapped flashed in my mind and was terrified. I called Kiran but couldn't reach him. I searched some more and more. Kiran called me back and I spilled the missing son story, he said 'Aarush is with him'. I thanked all stars, planets, gods and goddesses (of all religions, if I may add)!

The story goes like this. So the boy felt he is man enough to checkout the 1000 acre park and 'kept going like he is on a mission' is what the eyewitness told me;) The nice couple who saw this boy with a mission followed him to figure out his mission told the security and very luckily Aarush spotted Kiran who was at the gate entrance at that same time. He was there to receive some friends.

I know I shouldn't be saying "don't you know you should never leave mommy and go by yourself like that" to a 3 year old, but did it anyway!

I told the couple I want to do the sashtanga namaskaram, but they passed on the chance!

Lessons learnt: Get Leash, Labels and Iron supplements!

P.S: I am able to add humor to the post now because of how the episode ended but i can't even imagine how it would've been if things ended up otherwise. Thank you God!!!

P.S.S In the entire episode my gut feel said ' you can't get rid of your nagging mom so soon son'!

Love anything with wheels!

It all started with a teeny tiny hot wheels car and this is where we are right now! and we sometimes use daddy as base!

The Moral Police!

Aarush is fairly good at basic manners!I don't have to always remind him to say Thank you, Welcome, Excuse me. More than himself he makes sure his dad has good manners! Yeaa son!
The moment Kiran sneezes or burps, Aarush gets all alert and waits for no more than a couple of seconds to yell back at his dad with "Excuse me analedhu?" and the poor dad has no other option but to oblige!

I hope these basic manners stay with him forever! I really love big kids with good manners!

I am not a baby, remember?

He hands me the leftover sandwich from his breakfast!
Me: Thank you baby!
Him: Baby anakoodadu ...Aarush anali !
Me: ?

My logic is not for me!!!

Scene 1: He got a bubbles liquid as return gift from a birthday party.
Me: Aarush, you have to blow the bubbles when Sun is out in the morning.
A: Sleeps with holding the bubbles liquid bottle tight!
come morning he wakes up as the first ray peeked through our window saying "Sun vochharu ipudu bubbles cheddam"
I oblige!

Scene 2: trying to put him down for a nap on a weekend.
Me: Aarush ipudu bajjovali, its nap time.
A: "Ipudu Sun vochharu, ipudu bajjokoodadu"
Me: "Why doesn't this room get dark during the day&*%$!"

Scene 3: Trying to wake him up at 8:00 AM on a weekday!
Me: Aarush , time to wake up!
A: inka 5 minutes bajjunta!
Me: After 5 min, Aarush 5 min ayipoyindhi inka school time avutundhi!
A: I hear whining!
Me: I apply his logic " Aarush inka Sun vochhadu inka bajjokoodadu"
I don't get a response!!! Why god why!!!!

Children's Museum Of Memphis(CMOM)!

A couple of weekends ago we took Aarush to CMOM and boy he had fun!
By the time we got out of the house it was noon and he slept off in the drive. I am yet to figure out how other parents get out of the house so early on weekends( don't you want to sleep late atleast on wekeends?).
So we woke him up when reached and as we entered the museum there was a gift shop(huh!) with monster wheels on a school bus and who wouldn't want that? That woke him up completely and we forcefully took him inside, well the purpose of the visit was to explore the museum and not the monster wheeled school bus!
The first exhibit was fishing which he was not excited about and then came the real deal. There was a firetruck!!! After all those videos on Fireman Sam, He was pretty excited to see a firetruck.

Of all the exhibits firetruck got the highest points, he got up and down from the front side, back side, side side and every side. There were firemen uniforms and hats, he preferred hat!
The next hit was cop car and then the karoake and then he settled with a garbage truck toy in the toddler area.

The dynasour exhibit was fun too for there was a slide and rubber dynasour toys.
and then came our final pit stop, a fedex airplane with mock packages going in and out of the airplane, it was pretty neat!
Looking at the amount of fun he had and the awesomeness of the place we bought membership!
