I drafted the below post about a million years ago and wanted to publish it when aditya was 4 months- then on his 5-6-7-8-9-12 months. But I only got to it now when he is 1.5 years old. 

The dude is 8 months old and can melt hearts with his toothless grin.

I have been extremely lucky to witness all his milestones first hand so far.

He started to smile around 2-3'rd month. Took his first flight in 4'th month on oct 31'st.

Rolled over in 5'th month in india. Crawled backwards first in his 6'th month and then forward around Jan 23'2014.

Stood up with support on Feb 12' 2014.

Stood without support on june8'th

Hope I get to record more of these wonderful memories of my little pup.

In conversation with Aarush!

Growing vocab and the illogical conversations of childhood has me hearing these excerpts:

Me: Aarush, only half an hour for tv

Aarush:  No, I want to watch for 5 minutes and 2 minutes plzz



Aarush after playing with friends A&A who are brothers, comes home and asks  'I want a brother too!'

When I point to the very evident baby brother he says, no I want a big brother!!!



We were reading a workbook and I was explaining him that eggs come from chickens, milk from cows and I ask him where cheese comes from, 'Fridge!' says my potential Harvard kid.



I went to pick him from his school earlier than usual time. I mention that I have an appointment .  He promptly asks 'Are you having a baby?'



We were at the smoky mountains with my sister, brother and cousins:

Aarush: Are we going to stay here for a long time?

Me: Yes, for 3 days

A: No, I want to stay for a very long time, like for 55 minutes!!



Aarush has been asking me to buy him a dog from the pet store

Me: But will you give him a bath, feed him, walk him, clean his poop I ask?

Aarush: No , Nanna will do it

Me: Even if its cold outside you have to take him out for a walk, will you?

Aarush: No, but I will ask him to sit and watch tv with me.

Me: But he will not be interested in watching TV

Aarush so I will say, 'no going outside sit here or go to sleep.'

Me: *&%$%^&

A wonderful new addition!

It started with:

Me: Hey Aarush there is a baby in mommy's  tummy !!!

Aarush: So, did you eat the baby?

And I just told him in straight terms that he is going to be a big brother.

Because Caillou and Super Why both have baby sisters we assumed Aarush will also have one. We were a little disappointed knowing about baby brother but it didnt last long. 

Aarush believes he is hulk and decided his brother could be named Iron Man and voila! we were all set to welcome our next superhero. I am the black widow spider and Kiran is Capt. America if you must know.

After waiting for 9 long months (No, they did not go by fast) our little man arrived on July 8'th with head full of hair and a curious face.

Aditya Tej is his name! 

Aarush has been a great brother ever since his little brother came along.  There was no hint of jealously or I need more of your time business. He was his usual cheery self.

He adores his baby brother and pampers him more than us. He watches over him when asked to and lets a scream out if he sees trouble.

There was this one morning when both boys woke up at odd hours, thanks to jet lag from India trip. They were playing in the bedroom while i tried to get a shut eye. Aditya started crying and I asked Aarush to rock his swing. The big brother did that and also fed him from the bottle which actually calmed him down. I woke up at that point.

This blog has a new name!
