On an adventure called India trip
On an adventure called India trip
Kiran wanted to visit his ailing grandmom and decides to tag Aarush along for a 3 week India trip. All this without the most important person in their lives( or so I thought!!!!) - that is ME. So with marked-off checklists, completed to-do lists, toys being brought for in- flight entertainment, backpack packed to its maximum capacity, they set out for the adventure. Now what's the big deal? you might ask, try taking a highly energetic toddler boy all by yourself hit by cold and cough at the same time to both Dad and Son. Kiran said the first domestic connection was a breeze considering that was at Aarush's nap time. On board with the first international long flight, Kiran said he already thought about how he would manage in the return flight after 3 weeks!!!!Aarush refused to sit by himself and would only sleep on Kiran's shoulders for almost 8 hours.(I am proud of you Kiran!!!). Huffing and puffing they finally reached India and the innocent Dad thought Aarush would be in the loving care of his grandparents and he could rest. The first week Aarush just cling ed on to Kiran and wouldn't let him go out of sight. The second and third weeks were better in terms of getting used to the people around him and having fun. I asked Kiran to make sure Aarush doesn't loose any weight let alone gaining. But the boy refused to eat and literally survived on milk and junk he said. I think I am destined for a skinny kid and should just stop worrying!!!
Coming to the good part of the trip, they both got to spend time with Kiran's very dear grand-mom, dearest grandparents and the lovely family. Even after a month if I narrate him a story taking each of family member's names, he wouldn't let me miss out a single name and I couldn't be more happier. Kiran took him to the beach and Aarush absolutely loved it. He is still so ready to go at the slightest utterance of the word "Beach"( Time for another beach vacation!!!).
The love affair with pressure cookers continued even in India and the living room would not be without them and all other utensils that go in and around it, at any time of the day! With Shreyas and Megha around, he had fun and if they stayed for some more time I am sure they would turn into partners in crime.

It is evident that he loves his Dad so dearly from the fact that he wouldn't let him go out of sight even for a minute, not even for a restroom break. The Mother in me is pushing on making an assumption that 'Aarush did miss me' considering he was cranky, wouldn't eat and cling on to his Dad for the fear that even Dad might leave him.
I missed him terribly and was delighted to see him and enjoying the new "Mommy mommy" word he picked up!
